(The devolved nations are yet to announce their plans)
Mobile massage therapists should be able to return to work from 12 April 2021.
The Government’s document COVID-19 RESPONSE – SPRING 2021 spells out the steps 1 – 4 to the easing of lockdown measures. Mobile massage therapists come under Step 2 (page 38, pt.110) applicable from 12 April 2021.
“Additional premises will be able to reopen but should only be visited alone or with household groups: non-essential retail; personal care premises such as hairdressers, salons and close contact services; and indoor leisure facilities such as gyms and spas.”
Mobile massage therapists come under ‘close contact services’
Before taking each step the Government will review the latest data on the impact of the previous step against FOUR TESTS – these are:

Evidence shows vaccines are sufficiently effective in reducing hospitalisations anddeaths in those vaccinated.
Infection rates do not risk a surge in hospitalisations which would put unsustainable pressure on the NHS.
Our assessment of the risks is not fundamentally changed by new Variants of Concern
